Its getting rather ominous just now, only managing to draw against Fat twat Allardyce and Fulham getting an unexpected win against the bin dippers. Its a hard one to call and difficult as well.

If it wasn't for the prospective takeover, I would like to see Ashley crash and burn. If we survive the drop and get new owners, all well and good. If the takeover collapses I'll be back to wishing we dropped. What a place to be ffs.

WTF happenned there? That is the very best I have seen us since Rafa left.

Since the arrival of Sreve Bruce, our football has been dirge. Watching every match has been a horrible frustrating and miserable experience, leaving me to be inclined to hope we lose, not only because we deserve to, but for the greater good which is to make Ashleys investment value plummet. That in itself is a contrary statement because the greater good is for the takeover to go ahead, which arguably will never happen if we go down...

However I would never have imagined the complete transformation I witnessed almost 24 hours ago. We played with zest, vigour and purpose. We played pressing, winning the ball and keeping it, passing and moving as a team, showcasing that we can actually perform to a standard that wins games. I actually cheered when we scored, and then indulged in a second salutation in stoppage time.

Can this all be down to the introduction of this new coach? Did he influence the way we set up? Possibly, but what stands out for me is it has exposed Bruce for the numbnuts he is. Miggy was highly effective, playing more in his natural position. Wilson was working the channels and getting better service, seeing more of the ball instead of being isolated and stifles week in week out.

There is clearly a lot of work to be done and room for much improvement, but if we play like we are clearly capable of doing so and with consistency, I'm kind of back on board to actually enjoying watching us play.

Since march I've been worrying about Covid and me parents catching it.

In July me dad was diagnosed with skin cancer, but luckily it wasn't the most aggressive type and he soon batted that off just needing a small op.

He is the fittest mid-seventy yr old you could ever know, always active and fit as fuck, but two weeks ago he had a heart attack out of the blue.

Went to hospital and spent the next 10 days getting all kinds of tests.  Like a camera inserted into a vein in his leg and sent up to his heart to see the damage.  Shit like that. And every day or two they found something new out that made his condition worse than previously thought.  He was always positive as fuck though, telling me not to worry and he'll be ok.

Two days ago he had heart surgery.  Proper major stuff - taking the heart out and repairing the valve and there was a good chance he wouldnt make it.

6 hour job but it went according to plan and he then went into ITU (as planned) and was stable.  Still not out of the woods yet by a long way but obviously a fucking relief he got through the worst bit.

Today I got a text off him. "I'm not going to make it son. Tell your mam I love her and look after her for me"

Skipping over things a bit here cos this story is dragging on a bit - but after the worst few minutes of my life I find out nothing has happened and he is still stable and on the right course (which the nurses have been telling him)

Then I spoke to him on the phone and its like he's had some kind of breakdown. He's just 100% convinced he isn't going to make it and will die soon even though the nurses are telling him he's doing fine.  Begging me to tell my mam this is the end and he loves her more than anything (we've been protecting her - she has no idea how serious things have been)

He's the strongest man I know, head of the family and always knows how to sort everyonesw problems out. but I just cant get through to him. He was crying and almost hysterical  Breaking my heart hearing him like this (on top of how poorly he still is).  And being in such distress wont be doing his recovery any good I suspect



Well, thats where we're up to right now - just waiting to see what tomorrow brings.

Been told its common for a patient to feel negative, anxious etc after what he's been through but this seems like somthing else to me



My head is absoultely done in and I've had a few beers so probs not done a good job of writing that.  Also missed a few things out that would further explain why Im so upset and almost at the end of my tether

There are a few wise old sages on here so any informative/positive/encouraging comments would be welcomed

Nobody has posted on here for weeks just wondering if anyone else is still on here?

I have been to watch my local team play 3 games now. They are in Ryman’s Premier League. There were over 300 there last night. Seems strange that I can go to these games but fans are not allowed in much larger stadiums. The gate money from last night and the money from season tickets the bar and the food bar all helps at this level. Makes me wonder whether small crowds could be allowed into Div 2 games, just a thought as many of those clubs must be struggling big time.

Anyone else think we are going to get our arses handed to us on a plate?

Got to love Miggy though. If de Bruyne played that through ball for the goal, folk would be thrapping themselves senseless. Have a feeling Bacon heed doesn't see him as a starter which is madness. He should be one of the first names on the teamsheet imho.
