Well, it's already Friday and no one created this thread. Show how we feel about the team I guess.

We really need a win never that confident with this team but I am going for a nervy 2-1 victory. Hope I am right but anything could happen with our mob at the moment to be fair.  Huh

  Palace v NUFC
Posted by: surreymag - 21-09-2018, 05:31 PM - Forum: Match day threads - Replies (11)

Hoping for a change of result as in 2-1 to us. I think Palace are a Similar standard to us so it will be close. Can see goals so I will go for 2-2. Palace is the nearest ground to me as it’s near Croydon and I know a lot of Palace fans. If we lose I am in for plenty of stick. To be fair all the Palace fans I know are good down to earth lads and not full of shit unlike many of the others who support the bigger so to speak London clubs especially Arsenal and Chelsea fans.

Another tough game I will go for our 2nd point of the campaign and a 1-1 draw.

  International break
Posted by: sossujrurl - 05-09-2018, 05:38 PM - Forum: General football - Replies (7)

Not that I've watched much football this season anyway other than following on text but these breaks in the season are a bit less meaningless with the Nations League or whatever it is replacing friendlies. It sort of makes friendlies a bit more competitive and gives the so-called lesser nations the chance to compete against similar rather than getting howked 8-0 at home off Germany which does nobody much good really. On the other hand I don't know how it leaves time for friendlies against touring sides from outside of UEFA. Anyone hosting Brazil is going to draw in a good crowd for the home nation.

I think I'll reserve judgement for next year to see how it all pans out. If it improves the standard of football in general and means that teams like Faroe Islands can play against Malta and Gibraltar instead of getting hammered all the time and maybe gradually make their way up the rankings to be a world force then that's good. If it just ends up with shitty defensive games and is devised purely for the revenue then they can shove it up their fucking hoops.

Classic coaches have been booked to park across the 6 yard box.

Without Matt Richie and Jonjo Shelvey we might need a whole fleet

Prediction 4-0 city
